Maeda-en was founded in 1984 with a simple mission: to share authentic Japanese tea with customers across America. From carefully tasting and selecting our teas to introducing matcha ice cream in the U.S. and establishing our home in Irvine, California, our journey has been shaped by quality, care, and lasting relationships.

Founded in Texas

Maeda-en is established in Texas with a vision to bring Japanese tea to America.

1993

Matcha ice cream in the U.S.

Introduced authentic matcha ice cream and pioneered a new category in the American market.

2012

Irvine headquarter
