“Oohashiri” tea is a seasonal blend of the finest leaves from the youngest, softest part of the plant (primarily the tips) that impart an intensely bright green. Enjoyable hot or cold - it has a slightly sweet and full-bodied taste with a gentle texture.
It is also called “Hatsuzumi,” which comes from two Japanese words: "hatsu," meaning "first," and zumi (from the verb ‘tsumu’), meaning "to pick." Because of its limited availability, Oohashiri Shin-cha is highly sought after by tea connoisseurs.
